Q: How does the hourly rate structure work for furniture removals
A: The hourly rate is charged from the point in time when our team arrive on site at your house or office and start loading your furniture, until they leave.
A call-out charge is payable for each furniture removal job which covers our truck or van and burly men getting to your premises from our depot.
Q: What payment methods do we accept for furniture removals?
A: For private house moving jobs, we accept cash, cheques and credit card payments over the phone upon the completion of the furniture removal job.
Online banking payments are acceptable by prior arrangement.
We are happy to set up an account for repeat corporate clients – contact one of our office team on 0800 80 10 10 or email admin@taxitrucks.co.nz and we will send you a form.
Q: What if I don’t know what size of truck do I need,
or how many men?
A: We have a furniture removal volume calculator , which will give us a good idea of what’s involved in your house moving job.
if you fill this out one of our staff will get in contact with you ASAP, and if necessary, come out and visit you at your convenience to make an accurate assessment.
Q: How much notice do I need to give if I decide to make a booking for furniture removal?
A: Depending on the size of the job, small loads can normally be arranged same or next day. For moving house, and large furniture removal jobs it is preferable to have 3-4 days notice.
In all instances, we will do our best to be flexible and accommodate your schedule – we understand the stress and pressures involved in the house moving process!
Q: Do you do packing?
A: Yes we can arrange packing materials and labour before we do the furniture removal job if you decide to leave everything up to us.
Q: Do you provide insurance?
A: Taxi Trucks does have an extensive range of “liability based insurance” for all aspects of the business, however we strongly recommend customers seek their own insurance cover for goods being transported or stored. Check your house and contents policy as it’s possible you already covered!
Q: Do you provide burly men without a truck?
A: Yes, if you simply need furniture moved within your premises, we can send a couple of burly men to do move things for you. Rates are arranged on a case-by case basis so feel free to call us on 0800 80 10 10 with a brief rundown of what the job involves and we will help you out.

"I wanted you to know how impressed we were with the service
we had from Taxi Trucks on Monday. Donna was so helpful with
my enquiries. She had to endure several phone calls and did so
with a lovely friendly manner. The boys who did the move for us were so efficient and helpful too.
You offer a great service.
Many thanks."

I wanted to thank you for the exceptional service I received from Taxi Trucks last week. Needing a fast move with not much notice over an Easter long weekend was a pretty hard ask for any company.
Not only did you do the job, but were enthusiastic about it. The
truck and men arrived on time, were very obliging and accommodating, and did a fantastic job delivering everything
safe and in one piece.
All I can say is a big thanks to you and your team for a job well
done.
King regards,
Sarah Huston

Hi,
My wife and I would like to express big thanks to Vai and Aaron
for doing an
awesome job for us yesterday.
They worked hard out from start to finish, were perfectly polite,
and
everything got to the new house in perfect condition.
Thanks very much and keep up the great work.
